Melbourne’s east and south-east

Twenty-five years in the one postcode

Secura Protective Solutions is a Vermont security business that has been doing the same three things since 2000: monitoring alarms, sending patrols when they go off, and installing the systems behind them. It is still owned and run by the person who started it.

The business

Owner-run, not a franchise

Secura International Pty Ltd has traded from Vermont, in Melbourne’s east, since April 2000. Rob Dell’Orso owns the business, quotes most of the work himself and is the person clients ring when something needs changing. There is no sales team, no call centre and no account manager you have never met.

The work has stayed deliberately local. Patrols are based in Vermont and cover the east and south-east, so a vehicle is never far away. Installations and monitoring reach across Melbourne, but the clients who have been with Secura longest are the shops, clinics, clubs and factories within a short drive of the office.

In Rob’s words: TBC. This paragraph is reserved for Rob’s own short story of the business, in the first person, drawn from the About page he already has: how it started, what he looks for in a job, and what he is still doing it for. Two or three plain sentences and a photo.

What to expect

Four things we hold ourselves to

The standards behind every site, from a single home alarm to a multi-site retailer.

A 24-hour control room, two kilometres from you

Alarm signals from your site are answered around the clock by operators at our Vermont premises, not a call centre interstate.

When your alarm activates, someone at 32 Redland Drive sees it within seconds, calls your keyholders in the order you set, and sends a patrol if that is what you have asked for. The control room is operated by Guardian Security Group, our partner of more than two decades; Secura is the company that designs your system, installs it and answers your questions.

Marked patrols that actually turn up

Alarm response and scheduled patrols in marked Isuzu MU-X vehicles with GPS tracking, so every attendance is on the record.

Patrol officers are licensed and equipped for the job. Every attendance is logged with the time of arrival, what was found and what was done, and GPS confirms the vehicle was where the report says it was. You get the report, not a verbal assurance.

Licensed, local and owner-run

A Victoria Police licensed security business operating from Vermont since 2000, with the owner on the end of the phone.

Secura International Pty Ltd has traded from postcode 3133 since April 2000. Rob Dell’Orso still owns and runs it, quotes most jobs himself and knows the sites by name. The business licence number is in the footer of every page, as the Private Security Act requires.

One company from design to monitoring

We assess the site, install the alarm, cameras or access control, connect it to the control room and look after it afterwards.

There is no hand-off between an installer, a monitoring provider and a patrol contractor who have never spoken. Secura owns the relationship end to end, so a fault, a change of keyholder or a new door on the system is one phone call.

Who answers your alarm

A control room at 32 Redland Drive, staffed day and night

Secura is an authorised representative of Guardian Security Group. Alarm signals are received and patrols dispatched from Guardian’s 24-hour control room at our Vermont premises, which Guardian describes as A1-graded. Secura designs, installs and looks after your system and is the one number you call.

Licensed and insured

The paperwork behind the work

Licensed security business

Secura International Pty Ltd is licensed under the Private Security Act 2004 (Vic): Private security business licence no. TBC. The number is in the footer of every page because the Act requires it in every advertisement.

Licensed people

Technicians hold security equipment installer licences and patrol officers hold their own licences for the work they do. Nobody unlicensed touches your system or attends your site.
